Local health care gets a new name

Mckenzie County Healthcare System has officially changed its name to McKenzie Health in an effort to better reflect the new chapter and new direction they are going according to CEO Peter Edis.
“We thought it was time for a fresh start. Lynn Welker-Fevold, chief of communications, suggested the shortened name, which has these benefits: It’s easier to say and remember, it’s more succinct for staff when answering the phone, and we feel it reflects the fact that we are truly a comprehensive regional health system,” explained Edis. “We also have a new logo, which we hope brings attention to the fact that we have started a new chapter at McKenzie Health. Of course, the landscaping, facility improvements, and new website all contribute to that as well.”
