Local skating club celebrates 25 years

The Watford City Figure Skating Club is celebrating their 25th year this week, with a performance that will be both nostalgic and fresh.
Head Coach Jayden Lieseth explained that the club has been preparing for the special performance since Christmas, and the students are all very excited to show what they have learned.
“The kids have been working really hard to be ready for this,” said Lieseth. “We are calling it The Eras Tour: Watford City Figure Skating Club Edition. We are doing a song and performance from every year that the club has been around, celebrating the history of the club.
“I will say that some of the kids were originally pretty disappointed we weren’t doing a show dedicated to Taylor Swift,” Lieseth added with a laugh.
