On Friday, April 29, 400 Watford City High School students will kick off a community clean-up as a way to earn their community service hours. And to better the city of Watford City by contributing more than 1,200 hours of community service work.
“There’s a couple reasons why I really like our community clean-up. Our students are really blessed to live in this community that has pretty much afforded every school initiative and bond referendum,” says Jim Green, Watford City High School principal.
As it happens semi-annually, according to Green, it’s a good opportunity for businesses and local residents to get a helping hand.
“It’s an important lesson for our students to be able to give back to the community that has provided them with this spectacular school,” he says. “So I really like that aspect of it.”
