‘Filipino Foods for a Cause’ raises $2,000

“You might as well buy everything,” joked July Dishman, Filipino Foods for a Cause event planner, to a local resident who had stopped by the event held at Watford City’s Civic Center last weekend.
Asian cuisine isn’t exactly a common staple in the community of Watford City or McKenzie County at all, really. So when word dropped that Nov. 19, would be an opportune time for local residents to get their hands on some, most people didn’t need to be told twice.
“We know people crave Filipino foods since we don’t have any Asian food here,” says Dishman.
