Man charged with aggravated assault following a stabbing near Arnegard

A Texas man is facing Felony charges related to an alleged assault near Arnegard. 30 year-old Monty Lee Parker III of Beaumont, Texas, has been charged with a Class C Felony that carries a minimum mandatory sentence of two years in jail without parole for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to court documents filed with the Northwest Judicial District around 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a call from the McKenzie County Hospital where a witness reported a stabbing that occurred approximately two hours prior at a residential address located outside of city limits of Arnegard, N.D.
During the investigation, a female witness made a voluntary statement to a MCSO detective regarding the series of events that took place at approximately 3 a.m. that morning.
