McKenzie County Correctional Facility passes 108 point state inspection

The McKenzie County Correctional Facility (MCCF) has passed all 107 applicable standards assessed by the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (NDDCR) in their annual inspection of the facility. The Division of Transitional Facilities, part of the NDDCR conducts annual inspections and assessments each year at the various correctional facilities within the state.
The MCCF is part of theMcKenzie County Law Enforcement Center located within Watford City that also houses the Watford City Police Department and the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office.
At the time of the inspection, there were 73 inmates housed at the facility; the maximum capacity of the facility is 135. There are two units within the facility, and each unit has 64 bunks that are split into both single and multi-bunk cells. In addition to long-term inmate facilities, there are 11 individual holding/administrative segregation cells and one safety cell in the booking area.
