The North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC) recently announced that the United States of America is now producing more oil per day than any other country ever has. Additionally, Ron Ness, president of the NDCP, says that in spite of the current laws and regulations against fossil fuels, North Dakota has still increased production from 2022 by 28,235,454 BBLS in 2023.
“We anticipate steady activity and more growth in 2024. The pre-COVID record production exceeding 1.5 million barrels per day may not be seen again unless some major new technological advancement or a new discovery,” said Ness.
Texas and New Mexico have seen record growth in recent months and one reason that has been cited for this expansion is the lack of federal involvement in the permitting and land use in those areas.
