Every year the North Dakota EMS Association honors individuals who have made a difference in a medical region within their reach. Dr. Gary Ramage of the McKenzie County Healthcare Systems was nominated to be honored as the EMS Medical Director of the Year by the McKenzie County Ambulance Service for his continuous devotion to the medical practice and how it has furthered others in their own careers as paramedics, EMTs and other medical professions.
“For 25 years now, we’ve worked together,” says Jim Johnsrud, McKenzie County Ambulance board president. “As a medical director, he’s always been good for our ambulance service whether it’s approving drugs that are carried or the way they’re administered. He doesn’t receive any compensation for doing that.”
