Turkey bingo strikes again!

Whomever coined Turkey Bingo as “Watford City’s social event of the year” was not exaggerating.
On Tues., Nov. 15, the Watford City Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual Turkey Bingo. An evening that Watford City residents look forward to every year. It’s an event that has grown so popular, the commons area of Watford City Middle School can hardly contain all the participants.
Heavy anticipation hung in the air as hopeful turkey winners scrambled to find seats. Excitement from the cost of Bingo cards so cheap, stomachs full of egg salad and ham sandwiches served by the 4-H clubs and a sugar high from the bake sale - it was time to win that Thanksgiving turkey.
This year in preparation of the big night, local businesses had donated 150 turkeys, beef roasts, and Watford City Bucks as prizes. It would ultimately take close to two hours to give away all those prizes.
