Shop Local for your Thanksgiving turkey or you may not get one.
It is once again the time of year where many Americans purchase turkeys as an essential part of their Thanksgiving dinner. This year turkey shortages have been reported across the nation and many suppliers are saying the shortage will only get worse. While many cities around North Dakota are struggling to combat the shortage, the purchasers at Watford City’s grocery stores say they will have enough birds to meet demand.
In Watford City, both the Jack & Jill and Cash Wise grocery stores say they will have plenty of turkeys for their customers. Each stores manager reported placing turkey orders months in advance to avoid any chance of shortages around the holidays.
For families who would like to enjoy a traditional meal without all the hassle there will be local restaurants serving up Thanksgiving Dinner this year such as the Little Missouri Grille and the Outsider’s Bar & Grill. Not to mention, Jack & Jill is also offering to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for customers who would like a “take-out” option.
