Watford City native appointed as State Labor Commissioner

Nathan Svihovec, a Watford City native and former assistant attorney general for the North Dakota office of Attorney General, has been appointed as the Commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Labor and Human Rights.
Svihovec has strong ties to the McKenzie County Community. He played football for the Watford City Wolves and was on the team that won the State Championship in 2006. He was also named Senior Athlete of the Year and notes a high school GPA of 4.0 from Watford City High School in his educational history.
After high school he stayed in North Dakota as a member of the National Guard. In 2009 je was named Soldier of the Year.
