WCHS Art students recognized at Badlands Art Association Art Show

Students at Watford City High School had the opportunity to enter some of their artwork into the Badlands Art Association (BAA) Art Show that was held in Dickinson, and Art Teacher Jane Hadley was excited to share that five of the students who entered were recognized for their entries.
Taylor Winter, TaylorAnn Gerrard, Sofia Morgin, and Sara Grieger received Honorable Mentions, while Cassandra Schmahl received the Emerging Woman Artist Award plus a special $50 check from the BAA.
“I didn’t think I would win,” said 15 year-old sophomore Cassandra Schmahl. “I don’t think I deserved it out of everyone that entered.”
Her friend and fellow contestant, TaylorAnn Gerrard, also 15 years old, disagreed, saying, “No, she totally deserved to win. She did amazing.”
