W.C.H.S. band raising funds for Disney World performance

Watford City High School band members have been working diligently to raise the funds needed to attend a competition in Orlando, Fla., at Disney World next year.
“We’ll be going the week of March 14 for Spring Break,” says Matthew Page, Watford City High School band director.
While the high school band had originally planned to attend an 80th anniversary Pearl Harbor Commemoration Concert Series, the band members were unable to raise enough money for it, Page says.
“If we would’ve gone on that trip, we’d be there right now,” he says. “But with the timeline for everyone to raise money, we didn’t get it done quick enough.”
An uplifting alternative would be Disney World.
“We’re going to Disney Land for a competition. It’s a competition with other bands from around the country,” he says.
