Joyce McMonigal

Joyce Ann McMonigal, beloved wife, mother (momma), grandmother (Mamoo) and great grandmother (Mamoo), 71 currently residing in Williston, N.D. formerly of Muncie, IN and Bonita Springs, Fla. passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 19, 2018.
Joyce was loved by many people near and far and she always made known she loved them too. She made many friends during high school graduating in 1964 from Royerton High School in Royerton, Ind. Joyce traveled the United States as a truck driver and came across many people that she befriended and still talked to sometimes daily. She loved working with people in the trucking industry not only as a driver but as a dispatcher, freight broker and owner of several trucks. If she knew you she loved you unconditionally. She would give the shirt off her back for anyone who needed anything. She always put other people before herself.
Joyce recently fought and won a battle with Stage 3B lung cancer. She had many friends who called her tough as nails and “Wild Spirit.” Joyce loved spending time with friends and family and meeting new people wherever she went. We always said she could sell an air conditioner to an Eskimo she was that outgoing. She loved Bob, her kids, grandkids and great grandkids unconditionally without doubt. She absolutely loved Florida and had plans to be there soon.
Joyce was born July 31, 1946, in Muncie, Ind. to Abram F. Weesner and Winnie Mae Weesner (both deceased.) She was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Michelle Thornburg great grandson Jaydon Hansen Best, and her beloved companion, Cassie.
She is survived by her husband Robert A. Abadie, Jr. Williston, N.D.  A brother Michael W. Weesner (wife Patsy) of Cedar Bluff, Va.; a son, Brent Anderson (fiancée Tyra Goodwin) of Richmond, Va., and a daughter, Betsy Best (husband Brian) of Panama City Beach, Fla.; 5 grandchildren - Michael V Hammel (wife Erin) of Bowdon, Ga., Jacob B Anderson (Megan Whiteman) of Yorktown, Ind., Kayleigh M.
