19U Oilers player makes goal of a lifetime in 5-4 victory
The Oilers closed out their away game schedule this weekend against Langdon and Bottineau.
On Saturday the Oilers played the Langdon Blades. Neither team was able to score during the first period. The Oilers out-shot the Blades in the second stanza, but the Blades scored the only goal of the period.
In the third period the Oilers had some quality scoring chances, but were unable to get the puck past the Langdon goalie. The Oilers fell 1-0, again, to the Blades. Watford City’s Emma Carlson had 38 saves in the loss.
The Oilers took on the top-ranked Bottineau-Rugby on Sunday. Within the first 24 seconds of the game Bottineau-Rugby shot the puck past the Oilers goalie, getting on the scoreboard first. Six minutes later the Oilers answered back with a crafty goal by Lanie Hall.
