Watford City senior Jessica Mogen will continue her academic and basketball career at Minot State University. “We are so excited to have Jessica join us at Minot State,” said Minot State head coach, Mike Brandt. “First of all, she is a really good person and student. Secondly, she is a great competitor, is very skilled on the court, and has great work habits. Those check a lot of the boxes!”
Mogen has already put together an impressive basketball resume. As a junior, Jessica’s per game averages were 17.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.1 steals. She scored 44 points in a road game against Williston which is a school record for most points in one game. She also scored her 1,000th career point late in the regular season. “I chose Minot because I like that the campus is small and felt homey,” said Mogen. “They have a good basketball team and I liked the coaches and players.”
