Ten different Watford City Wolves scored en route to a 60-39 victory at home over New Town.
The Wolves were ranked No. 5 in the Division A (new middle class) preseason poll conducted by the NDAPSSA.
After falling behind 4-0, New Town played well in the first half. Four different Eagles scored as New Town led for most of the first two quarters. Watford City got into some early foul trouble and New Town took advantage, leading 13-8 for their largest lead. Watford City weathered the storm and went on a 14-4 run to take a 22-17 lead late in the first half. New Town scored the next six points to retake the lead. Eighth grader Annabelle Bohn gave Watford City the lead back at 24-23 with a basket right before halftime.
