It was a busy week as Watford City’s American Legion baseball team lost a pair of games to Mandan and then bounced back to down Williston in league play before the Walleye headed to the Glendive Tournament.
In the tournament, Watford City went 0-4 losing to Glendive, Richland County, Billings and Lovell.
This week Watford City, which is 15-14 on the season, will be traveling to Williston on July 14, before hosting the Bismarck Senators on July 16 and the Williston Keybirds on July 18.
“We have our last five league games this week,” stated Greg McNary, Walleye head coach. “Mandan is currently 12-0 and no one will catch them. Obviously we need to win as many as we can to enhance our standing.”
