It was a tough road trip for Watford City’s varsity boys basketball team this past week as they lost games to Mandan and Jamestown in WDA action. With the losses, the Wolves season record fell to 0-10.
The next action for the Wolves will be this Thursday when they host Dickinson before St. Mary’s comes to town on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
While Watford City struggled offensively in a 76-51 loss to Mandan on Friday, Jan. 14, Dave Gumke, was pleased with the way the team played.
“We played well against Mandan and took a big step in our progress on both sides of the ball,” stated Gumke. “We were getting good looks out of our offense by taking advantage of the defense and not forcing it. We were intense and aggressive and it was our best sustained effort of the season.”
