It was an exciting day for our runners as they competed in their first race of the season. This is the course that we will run at the state meet. Our athletes ran well despite the hot humid conditions getting their season off to a great start. It is always important to get to run in the first meet so that the athletes know where they stand early and understand the work that they need to do to improve.
We saw some competitiveness come out of our runners today and hope that continues throughout the rest of the season. The varsity boys placed 15th out of 22 teams and were led by Dehico Bocanegra Tovar with a time of 17:42 placing 20th and earning a T-Shirt. His time is a personal best time on this course.
