The Watford City varsity wrestling team opened its 2021-22 season with a pair of losses last weeks as the Wolves fell to Bismarck Legacy and Killdeer in dual action on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
The Wolves have a new coaching staff this season with Jon Matson taking over as the new head coach, while Carter Buelow, Isaac Taylor and Bryden Picklesimer will be assistant coaches and will work with the junior varsity programs.
“We have big shoes to fill with the high school wrestling tradition around here and changes needed to be made,” stated Matson.
