2024 McKenzie County budget approved by county commission

The final 2024 budget for McKenzie County was approved by the Board of County Commissioners at the end of their meeting on Oct. 3.
The final total General Government Budget for 2024 is $35,368,918. This is $8,043,452 below the actual budget in 2022, and $2,493,796 less than the appropriated budget for 2023.
The appropriated budget is a budget that includes all expenditures authorized by the county government. This is different from the approved final budget made before each fiscal year because it includes any changes in cost or overages that were not allotted for in the initial budget approval.
