City council will adopt preliminary budget soon

Though Watford City’s City Council preliminary budget hearing is still six weeks out, according to Liz Heisey, city finance director, increased GPT and steady sales tax are looking positive for the City of Watford City.
“There is an increased focus on economic development and building a strong foundation for future growth,” says Heisey. “The City is still in a bit of recovery mode from the downturn in 2020, but remains optimistic for growth.”
