Dale Patten, who had previously served as a senator from District 39 was officially endorsed by the District 26 Republicans to run in the June Primary Election during that group’s endorsement convention on Sunday, Feb. 20.
Patten, a retired Watford City banker and former McKenzie County commissioner, was first elected to the North Dakota Senate in 2019. In the past legislative session, Patten served on the Energy and Natural Resources and the Finance and Taxation committees.
District 26 Republicans also endorsed two new candidates, Jeremy Olson and Kelby Timmons, to run for the North Dakota House of Representatives to fill two open seats in the House.
