Final bid package for Phase I of fairgrounds construction approved

A bid package for the final stages of Phase I of the new McKenzie County Fairgrounds was unanimously approved by the McKenzie County Board of Commissioners during their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 19.
While the package does exceed the original budget of $40 million for Phase I by just over $1.6 million, FCI, McKenzie County planning and zoning and the commissioners agreed the benefits of the package were far greater in the long run as it includes a $2.7 million asphalt paving option for the entire fairgrounds.
