Homecoming brings excitement to W.C.H.S.

It is Homecoming Week at Watford City High School and on Friday the school will be crowning its 2020 Homecoming royalty from the 10 seniors selected to this year’s court.
While the school is buzzing with a variety of special activities including dress-up days and a candidate feud all designed to generate more Wolves’ spirit, the week-long celebration will conclude on Friday with a coronation of this year’s Homecoming royalty, a parade and a football game.
The crowing of the 2020 Homecoming king and queen will be held at 3 p.m. in the Rough Rider Center main arena. However, due to COVID-19 concerns, attendance at the coronation will be limited and the event will be livestreamed on the school’s YouTube channel.
The Homecoming Parade will begin at 4:15 p.m. and will start on Watford City’s Main Street and run to the Harlow’s bus barn, which is located across the street from the McKenzie County Hospital.
Homecoming activities will conclude on Friday when the Wolves football team takes on Bismarck St. Mary’s at 7 p.m. at the Rough Rider Center’s Fridley Field.
