“Oh, there’s one of our guys,” said Donna Mrachek, owner of the Wild Flour Cafe & Bakery, of a local military member whose picture flashed the cafe’s flatscreen television.
When a group of men in Bismarck were brainstorming one day, they were trying to figure out a way to honor veterans. What they came up with was the idea to form a slideshow that could be featured at local eateries throughout North Dakota.
Today, the Wild Flour Cafe & Bakery in Alexander is one of several dozen businesses in North Dakota to feature ‘The Wall of Honor.’
The order displays past and active military veterans who have served in every branch of the military, along with first responders that reside in the state. The slideshow is displayed in the dining area of the Wild Flour Cake & Bakery.
