Social Media threat to Williston High School
Farmer Staff Reports
On Monday, March 20, 2023, at approximately 10:17 p.m., the Williston Police Department (WPD) received several reports of a threatening message circulating on social media regarding Williston High School.
They actively investigated the threat made toward Williston High School and have a male juvenile in custody.
At this time, the juvenile male has been cited with three counts of terrorizing. Additional charges and/or counts of terrorizing are expected.
The WPD does not believe there is any current threat to the Williston High School nor any of the Williston Basin School District No. 7 schools regarding this incident.
The investigation is ongoing and the staff at the McKenzie County Farmer will continue to follow the incident for updates.
