Suspects in shooting last week apprehended by law enforcement

On Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., the Watford City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of 2nd Street NE.
With the assistance of the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect vehicle was located in the area of 4th Ave. NE and Prairie Hills Rd. The two occupants of the vehicle were stopped and detained as part of the incident.
In the ensuing investigation it was determined that there was also a previous shooting that was related to this specific incident along the Fox Hills Parkway. Law enforcement reported there was no danger to the public and it appeared to be an isolated incident directly related to those involved.
The Watford City Police Department has identified all suspects along with victims and is still working on completing a thorough investigation. No one was injured in this incident and only property damage occurred.
