Trailer disposal program extended to October

The McKenzie County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has unanimously voted to continue a successful trailer and camper disposal fee reduction program through the end of October.
This program has been active for the last three months and during that time the landfill has received a total of 19 trailers as of Tuesday, Sept. 5. According to McKenzie Landfill Director, Rick Schreiber, during his 12 years with the landfill, the average number of trailers brought in for disposal is one trailer per month.
“I would say that one per month is a fair assessment [of normal] so 19 in three months, well that’s not too shabby,” Schreiber told the BOCC members.
