Two plead not guilty to stealing crude oil

The attorneys for Michael Garcia and Darrell Merrell entered a not guilty plea on all charges stemming from the theft of crude oil in McKenzie County with the Northwest District Court. On July 7, the court granted a continuance of the preliminary hearings for Mark McGregor and Joseph Vandewalker.
All four men were arrested in June of 2022 on felony charges for their involvement with stolen crude oil calculated to be worth approximately $2.4 million over a 16-month period.
