Watford City’s Best of the West Ribfest this Friday

It’s that time of year again. Time to sink your teeth into some delectable barbecue smoked ribs while enjoying some good tunes and the many other festivities offered on Watford City’s Main Street during the annual Best of the West Ribfest to be held on Friday, Aug. 12, with ribs being served starting at 6 p.m.
“I love the day, it’s fun,” says Mary Gumke, Watford City Area Chamber of Commerce vice president. “I think it gets bigger every year.”
To start off the evening, local artists The Tim Transtrom Band will take the stage. “They’ve played at Homefest before. So we’re excited about that,” says Jessie Veeder, Ribfest Planning Committee member.
Headlining this years entertainment will be Ricochet, Jamie O’Neal and Wade Hayes with the ‘Country Fried Tour’ playing music from the 1990s genre.
