Many organizations benefitted from her time and energy. She and Henry were devoted members of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered wherever they were needed. She and Henry were members of the  Sons of Norway and spent many happy hours learning about their heritage and making lutefisk and meatballs.
She leaves behind four children, Judith Schaffer (Thomas), Steven Wisness (Jan), Susan Boehm (Scott), and William Wisness (Terri); there are 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren who will miss her.
