Miles Kummer
Miles G. Kummer, 69, of Keene, N.D., passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the McKenzie County Hospital in Watford City, N.D. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Watford City, N.D., is assisting the family. Condolences may be left on the funeral home website at www.fulkersons.com.
Miles Gregory Kummer was born on Jan. 16, 1953, in Watford City, N.D., to Louis and Lillian Veysey Kummer.
Miles worked in the oilfield in his early years and then began ranching on the family farm.
Miles loved planting a huge garden every summer, which most of it he gave away to family and friends. He also planted huge pumpkins for all the kids to pick every year.
Miles loved hunting and driving his side-by-side, driving around in the pasture looking at his cows and looking at the deer.
Miles is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Fern and Cindy; brothers, Mike, Jerome, Clayton, David, Douglas and Stanley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his son, Billy Kummer (Frances) of Dickinson, N.D.; his brother, Kenny (Kathy) Kummer of Keene, N.D.; his sisters, Lorraine Walton of Lovington, N.M., Gladys (James) Greggory of Midland, Texas, Shirley (Robert) Lovaas of Watford City, N.D., Loretta Anderson of Watford City, N.D., Debbie (Randy) Running of Mesquite, Nev., Donna (Kelly) Berg of Valdosta, Ga. and Linda (Jerry) Wilson of Tacoma, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Betty Kummer and Laveta Kummer, of Watford City, N.D. and numerous nieces and nephews.
