Wolves Cross Country boys team participates in the WDA Championships
The Watford City Boys Cross Country team had a good showing at the WDA Championships at McDowell Dam in Bismarck.
Coach David Gumke said, “I am excited about the efforts of my boys’ team at the WDA Region meet. They stepped up and competed very hard in this race. The weather was perfect for running.”
“We had five boys run personal records. Dehico Bocanegra Tovar got after it today and led the team while breaking his personal best by about 67 seconds with a time of 17:00.95. His goal has been to get his time under 18 minutes. He shattered the 18-minute barrier and nearly got in to the 16-minute range, which has now become his goal for the state meet. He was also very close to placing the top 20,” Gumke continued.
